Odessa is my favourite city where I have lived for almost 5 years now. Originally I come from Sumy which is a small provintial, yet cozy town that I also love coming back to for visiting my family and my dear parents.
I fell in love with Odessa geography when I was a 7 year at school. What I have been amazed at mostly is that this city is considered as the Black Sea pearl and it stretches along the sea coast with the most sceneric views of the seaside and nature. Both being a guest, still a complete resident here, in Odessa I have found so many activities and sights to see which I will advise you as well:
-Arkadia coast, Arkadia beach and Arkadia Night Club area
Arkadia is famous for night life, amusement and its wonderful restaurants that serve everything from junk food to sushi, italian food, thai food or seafood. Visiting Ibiza, Ithaka and Fanconi club is a must;
-Odessa Opera House
Odessa is located within 1 minute's walk away from Deribasovskaya street. This is an absolutely exclusive masterpiece that survived though the World War II and The Great Patriotic War;
-Navy Odessa
411 Memorial Battery of Odessa is located in the outskirts within 40 minutes' drive away from Deribasovskaya street, the main street of Odessa
-Primorskiy Boulevard
Odessa's best place for quiet walks, romantic meetings and the sortest way to get to the Sea Port Terminal
-Odessa Seaport terminal
As soon as you see the great monument of Duke de Richelieu in Promorskiy Boulevard, look around and you'll find almost 1 km long staircase that goes down to the Seaport. Follow this way ;)
-Odessa city garden (GorSad)
Odessa city garden is located in Deribasovskaya/Gavannaya street. It's a small cozy tidy park with an ancient style veranda. When people kiss under its roof, there's the belief thay'll click and live happily ever after together;
-Preobrazhenskaya square
Preobrazhenskaya square is located in crossroad of Deribasovskaya and Preobrazhenskaya streets. It's easily recognized by a large St. Preobrazhenskiy Monastery (orthodox);
-Odessa Dolphin Park
Dolphin Park is located on Lanzheron coast. You can visit romance dolphin performances there;
